sunday, 1st mac 2009 is the first day of 3 running event was held...and of course, proudly to say that our running club took part in this 3 event...1st event is towerthon at KL tower, 2nd is Melati run and 3rd is UPM E-run...yup this week was the 3rd consecutive week of running event which most of the runners participated...
If i was not mistaken, 5 of our runners involved in towerthon, 5 runners in UPM and others in Melati run...as for me, i was running in UPM together with mr. FALAH, mr. EDAN, mr. KAMAL and mr. AZREY...We were getting there together as early at 6 am...big applause for my fellow runners as they really on time...this is what we called 'punctuality'...hehe
This morning we arrived at UPM at 7 am...As usual, we get ready and started to warm up...Then only went for register...hehehe...The race is begin a bit late as the organizer let us do some aerobic...aerobic?goshhhh this was the 2nd aerobic session that i attend...hehe...back to the story, there were a few familiar running faces...So we all kinda takot2 in the beginning...they all ni mesti laju2 nih...siap ade mamat pakai baju GE 30 km ...hehe...we also meet bro AFAD and his friends...sori bro lupe name...
mr. EDAn told me earlier that top UPM runner also competed in this race...wahhhh....mr. AZREY already counting for placing...hehe...no brape la dapat ari nih...as the medal is only for top 25 and the number of runners in our category is 160...this is 6.5 km race which the runners need to pusing2 around UPM....later on after the aerobic session end, the race is begin!
As usual, mr. EDAN lead all the runners...forgot to mention that the organizer let the fun runners jalan dulu...so you can imagine how jammed it is...we need to selit2 them...damn!....at 1st km, there was a junction which our category need to turn left while the fun runners is right...Mr. EDAN was already pacing with the UPM top runners...and then there was 3 runners in front me which 2 in my category (a far in front of me) and 1 runners just in front of me(the fun runners)...
I try to overtook the runners from my category but suddenly mamat fun runners to selambe die celah in front of me...pengajaran from the story is if you want to change where the hell is you are running, better be aware if there is other runners that tgh pia kaw2 lat laju than you...dont be selambe badak mau tukar2 lane...and that fun runners end up langgar my foot and dushhhhh....cium jalan...i was like in hurdles category as need to hop over him...kalau x broga punye incident might happened again...goshhh damn scary!
Then mr. EDAN and the UPM top runners already hilang...left me and 1 chinese runners of UPM...and 4 km that runner try to potong me...no prob man,go on....at 5 km then the roadside sudah xde pokok...so no shade for us...the runner in front of me sudah ala2 bong gitu...hehehe...then he ask me to potong him back...so i potong him while tgh overtook 2, sempat jgk aku hembus2 sikit kt die...kasi mandrem sikit...bagi die letih...hehehe....in the end, mr. EDAN is in 1st placed after 200 m of sprint with the top runner...mr. EDAN is ahead of 2 s in front of him...i was in 3rd, mr. FALAH in 6th, mr. AZREY in 11th and mr. KAMAL in 12th...congratulations to us!..hehehe....
This race was well organize by the organizer...big applause for them too...most of them was just in 1st year in UPM and yet can organize such a big event like this...seriously medal cantek beb...top3 punye medal siap ade color kot...1st of course emas la, and for me is gangsa...ehheh...later on siap de mcm hari kantin lagi...bli makanan mau pakai kupon...hehehe...rindu zaman skola dulu....this upcoming week is 'no race for me'...the next race is on 15 mac...which is 10 km run in bukit jalil...weh korang jgn malas2 training...aku pon same jgn malas2...hehehe...jgn malas study!hehe....fyp still no progress...shit!....anyway hope to see my fellow runners in next event... ;) tBc
p/s : budak2 tgh break dance tue is the orphans....this running event is charity run for them :)
